Wing Paddle The wing-type paddles such as the Lettmans and Brachas were developed for Olympic class sprinting on flat water courses. What it lacks in bracing, etc, it makes up for with 2% more speed. It is suitable for K1 Olympic Kayaks, Surfskis and Adventure Kayaks. It is not suitable for novices or for kayakfishing, cruising, expeditions, waveski-surfing or white-water kayaking. Wing paddles come standard with carbon-fibre blades and fibreglass shafts. More sophisticated wings also have carbon-fibre shafts and adjusters, so you can set the length and feathering angle of the blades. |

PaddleYak Standard Robust, all-purpose paddle constructed from fibreglass. This standard-bladed paddle is feathered and asymmetrical for efficiency and comfort. The paddle is constructed entirely in fibreglass. It is recommended for most sea kayaking applications. Carbon-bladed and split-paddles are availabale on request. Wing-type paddles are more suitable for racing lightweight craft on flat water and are not recommended for touring longer distances with loads. |
